Areas of Expertise
I play electric and acoustic guitar, as well as ukelele, and am happy to teach either. In terms of styles, I teach everything from blues to jazz; folk to heavy metal; rock and pop. I can also teach slide guitar; bottleneck playing in alternate tunings and finger picking. I am flexible and open to other suggestions, so if you would like to chat about learning something else, please contact me please via the form on this website.
There is no age limit - my current pupils are aged 6 - 60, and everything in between! There is also no need to be nervous about your first lesson. I aim to make them fun and informal, with plenty of tea and biscuits of course...
Beginners are more than welcome, as are those who have been playing for a few years but would like to brush up on their playing.
Please note: If you don't own a guitar yet and don't know which to buy, I have several and you are more than welcome to experiment in the first lesson.
