About Me
I am fully qualified, and hold a BA (Hons) as well as the City & Guilds 7307 The Further Education and Adult Education Teacher's Certificate. I also have a current and clear CRB enhanced disclosure certificate.
I have been playing guitar for the past 19 years, and teaching privately for 12 years. I am self taught, and have played in several local bands: music has always been a big part of my life, and something which I have found constant enjoyment in.
In addition to playing guitar I play the bass guitar, harmonica, mandolin, banjokelelee and penny whistle. I also have some proficiency on piano.
My other music - related interests are writing and recording: examples can be found on the 'My Music' section of this website. My influences are eclectic and wide ranging, and include Marillion; Marty Willson Piper; All About Eve; Stereophonics; The Waterboys; Neil Young and Sebadoh. I am currently recording a folk/rock album.
My other hobbies include watercolour painting; films; travelling and cooking.
