I am a guitar and ukelele teacher based in Windsor, Berkshire. I aim to provide a professional, friendly service which gives you the tools to become a competent, versatile guitarist.
My teaching takes into account the fact that all people learn differently: my experience as a lecturer has provided me with the ability to assess learning needs and adjust my teaching accordingly.
Many guitar teachers will encourage you to practice the same song over and over again. It is my belief that although this approach will work, it will not provide you with the opportunity to improvise - something which is vital to becoming a good guitarist. Of course, if there is a specific song you would like to learn to play, I will be happy to incorporate this into your lesson, but remember that learning chords and scales is important too!
A typical lesson lasts approximately one hour from my home, and encompasses all elements of guitar playing, from nailing those vital chords and scales to learning to improvise by jamming along with my own playing. There will also be the chance to learn guitar tab.
Your first lesson will be half price, after which a sliding scale of £20 - £30 will apply. A cancellation fee applies if less than 24 hours' notice is given.
